• Repair.Minor chips and scratches can usually be repaired by one of our technicians.  Most repairs involve the insertion of specially designed adhesives onto and into the damaged region.  The purpose of this repair is twofold.  The idea is for the damage to be sealed, with the joint goals of stopping moisture and other elements from entering the damaged region and preventing the damage from spreading and worsening.  Repair is almost always less expensive than replacement, typically costing in the range of $50 to $250.  Part of the cost differential is the result of the number of man hours required.  Skilled technicians can repair very mild damage in less than an hour.
• Replacement. Although ideal for the customer, repair is not always possible.  Some damage is so extensive that no matter what is done the windshield cannot be saved.  In other cases, damage that would otherwise be repairable cannot be fixed without leaving an unsafe level of visual impairment to the driver.  When either is the case, full auto glass replacement will be necessary.  Replacement can take much longer than repair.  Depending on the work schedules of our members and the availability of materials, it can take several days to complete.  Replacement is also usually considerably more expensive.  The exact cost of replacement is heavily determined by factors such as the model and year of the vehicle, the size of the windshield, and the availability and type of replacement parts.  As a general rule, replacement will cost between $200 and $1,500.
